Lupita Fuentes is a professional educator who resides in Clovis, CA. She began her career as a Special Education teacher with RSP classes, but now, her teaching assignment is as a teacher on special assignment (TSA) in neighboring Fresno Unified School District involves working with parents from throughout the district. She goes to school sites and works with parents through Parent University. Her goal is to assist parents in helping their child close the achievement gap. She has found it to be invigoration and fulfilling.
Spending time with family, relaxing or traveling is Lupita's favorite way of spending leisure time. She has recently traveled to Florida and highly recommends Miami Beach as a destination of choice. She says the crystal clear waters make that beach beautiful! Yet, her dream trip remains a visit to Hawaii.
She also finds energy from time spent in the garden and finds satisfaction in bringing vegetables fresh from the yard to the table. She finds peace under a tall tree. These things were the inspiration for her Autobiographical Metaphor essay that was shared with us from the Author's Chair last week.
